First Responder Training

Our goal is simple: provide simple, clear and comprehensive training to members of the public in a cost-effective, time-efficient and supportive manner.

Our aim is for our learners to be competent, confident and safe when performing CPR, using a defibrillator and administering First Aid.

First Responder Training is committed to empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills required to provide immediate care during medical emergencies. Our hands-on approach, dedication to excellence, and focus on real-life scenarios set us apart in preparing you for the challenges of being a first responder.

About Us

Responder First Aid Training began operations in 2025 out of a need to provide simple, clear and comprehensive training in a supportive manner to members of the public in CPR and First Aid.

Our training is focused at grass roots level community involvement. We deliberately price ourselves in the market to make it affordable and realistic for people to learn, upskill, train or re-train.

We are a mobile service so we are able to keep costs low and we directly pass those cost saving measures onto our students. We're not here to make a fortune or to rip people off. We also don't over promise and fail to deliver! We're here to provide a service and do good in our communities. In reality, we are training people for a situation they hope they never have to see. So when we say "learn cpr - someone's heart will thank you" - we mean it. You will be the difference in saving someone's life.

Our Lead Instructor has been involved in first aid since 1996. He is a nationally qualified and highly experienced EMT and holds advanced degrees in Law. He also instructs at CFR-C and FAR level with the Irish Red Cross. Prior to studying medicine, he worked as a barrister and holds qualifications in phlebotomy, criminal psychology, mediation and workplace investigation. He also lectures at University level on a Master's programme in allergy and clinical immunology.

Training Courses

Our comprehensive training programs, combined with realistic hands-on simulations, are specifically designed to equip you with the skills and confidence needed to handle medical emergencies effectively.

Community First Responder (CFR-C)
Phecc Accredited

This is a 4 hour video assisted and tutor guided workshop teaching learners the following topics:

1. Recognition of an emergency

2. Responding to an emergency

3. Primary Survey (airway, breathing, circulation)

4. CPR (cardiac pulmonary resuscitation) -

adult/child/Infant

5. Safe use of a defibrillator - adult/child/infant

6. Choking - adult/child/infant

7. Recovery Position - adult/child/infant

8. Heart Attack

9. Cardiac Arrest (total stopping of the heart

beating)

10. Stroke

Price: 75euro per person

Ratio: 1 tutor: 6 students

We provide a mobile service, so we come to you. All we ask is you have a space for us to train your staff

Paediatric First Aid (PFA)

This is a 4 hour course combining practical hands on elements of paediatric first aid along with theory based learning.

On successful completion of this programme (theory elements and practical elements), learners will be provided with a digital certificate certified by Responder First Aid Training

1. Scene safety, calling for help, disease transmission,

infection control and consent

2. Primary survey, secondary survey, vitals, taking a

s.a.m.p.l.e history

3. Child CPR. Child Choking

4. Allergies, Asthma, Diabetes, Seizures

5. Poison, Bites & Stings, Shock, Wound types and

management

6. Fractures. Soft tissue injuries

7. Head injury, spinal injury, eye injury and nose bleeds

8. Burns

Price: 50euro per person

First Aid Responder
(FAR)
Phecc Accredited

This is a 3- day/18 hour tutor guided training workshop involving a mixture of guided talks, interactive slides, skills demonstrations and practical learner input

1. CFR-C (CPR and AED) - this covers all of the CFR-C

programme in addition to the following:

3. First Aider wellbeing (before, during and after an event)

4. Incidence procedures

5. Communication

6. Common emergencies

7. Wound Injury & Shock

9. Burns & Electrical injury
